Jewellery Trends
Accessorising should be given enough attention as it can make or break almost any outfit. Jewellery is an important accessory and speaks about your personality to same or even greater degree than your garments. To really ginger up a lifeless outfit it is important to match it with the decent jewellery. So if you plan on buying some, it pays to check out the latest trends before parting with your hard earned cash.
The choice on Avalaya.com as well as in the other shops is so varied that it is not so easy to choose the right kind of jewellery. What is fashionable jewellery now? What is everyone wearing? What is my all time favourite? Isn’t it better to wear just "comfy" jewellery rather than something trendy which doesn't define you? You've got to be choosy and spend some time looking for the right piece rather than just rushing into buying something just because it is cheap or looks "alright".
It looks like silver is the king of the hill at the moment. Anything in silver colour, be it brooches, bracelets, bangles, earrings, rings, necklaces, is preferred in silver today. You've got to put your love to gold colour in the back drawer for now, that is if you are even beginning to pretend to be trendy. Silver is very versatile with it's gray appearance and therefore it doesn't discord with any colour. It goes with anything and everything, almost. It goes great with the bohemian style that presently rules the fashion scene. To top the trendy list, try matching silver with some coloured gems or semi-precious stones. Swarovski crystals is a good choice, they come in all rainbow colours and also much cheaper than "real" diamonds. Instead of the overdoing in earrings, choose a simple design in a bracelet or a neck piece.

For adventurous personalities try mixing and matching a little, take a pendant in different design style to your bracelet, but keep them in silver. Don’t wear matching ear rings and necklace together. There has to be some variety. Try a silver necklace with a tribal ring. Gorgeous!
Clear diamonds always appealed to many and now it looks like they're also trendy, once again! Fake diamonds are totally in as well, it doesn't have to cost thousands to be trendy. Cubic zirconia and Swarovski crystals shine quite nicely, if the cut is right, and given that you could afford them in much larger size, will get you noticed much quicker than an actual diamond which most definitely will be smaller in size. Team it up with white gold, silver or rhodium plated metals to give it a hip look which has timeless appeal.
The bigger the better! It has been the mantra for jewellery recently. All major designers have produced massive jewellery pieces which oftentimes aren't practical to wear in the everyday life. Smaller gems are clustered together to create a bigger impact. Geometrical shapes are a goer too. Cocktail rings are big and chunky, usually dwarfing the finger it is on. Rock inspired and funky jewellery seems to be the hot. Bone, plastic and wood seems to be the designers' material of choice. It looks like everyone tries to outquirck each other with the most outrageous combinations of materials and shapes in designing jewellery.
If all this trend and trendy stuff gives you a headache, I have a small tip: don’t worry about it too much. The fact of the matter is, it doesn’t really matter if your jewellery clash with your dress or your shoes or even your mascara. As long as it makes you happy you have set a new trend for yourself!
